Cadet Programs

Welcome to the Cadet Programs web page here at Connecticut Wing.  I am Major John Lesick, Director of Cadet Programs.  I would like to inform you of the upcoming events that involve the cadets of Connecticut Wing, for this year 2008. 

 

First, we have a Tri-Wing encampment coming up July 4th - 13th at Norwich University in Vermont.    More information to follow. Also, there will be a 2008 Region Cadet Advisory July 25th - August 3 at Otis AFB in Massachusetts. .

 

Second, we have a cadet advisory council that meets at Connecticut Wing headquarters on the first Wednesday of every month.  I would like to see at least one cadet from all 12 of our squadrons be a member of CAC.  If there are two cadets in a squadron that are interested then one may go as a primary and one as an alternate.  See your squadron commander for details and approval.

 

Third, we have the Howard E. Palmer Cadet Ball coming up in the fall to be held on October 25th at the Courtyard by Marriott in Cromwell.  Please return to this web page for an update.  All cadets and their dates are invited to attend!  Special invitation to the squadron commanders and Wing Staff. More information to follow! 

 

Fourth and finally, looking into 2008, I'd like to mention a date of interest. The Color Guard Competition with tentative date of April 19th, 2008.  I'd like to see every squadron field a color guard team.  The winning team will go on to Region to compete against other wings in the Northeast Region.

 

Finally, I would like to take this time to thank Lt Col Andrew Marteka for his many years of service at Director of Cadet Programs and wish him good luck in his new position as a Vice Commander at Wing.
